Spam rate
DefinitionSpam rate is the share of delivered messages that recipients mark as spam, usually expressed as a percentage of email that reached the inbox.
Large providers require bulk senders to keep the user-reported spam rate below 0.3% and recommend staying under 0.1%. That is fewer than 3, and ideally fewer than 1, spam reports per 1,000 delivered messages.
A high spam rate damages sender reputation faster than almost any other signal.
