Email blacklist checker

Short answerThe blacklist checker looks up a domain, and the IP addresses of its mail servers, on major DNS blocklists such as Spamhaus, SpamCop, Barracuda and URIBL, and tells you which lists, if any, have listed it and how to request removal.

Lookups run in your browser through public DNS-over-HTTPS resolvers (Cloudflare, then Google). We don't store what you check. Privacy

How to use it

Reading the result

  1. 1

    Enter a domain or IP

A domain checks domain blocklists plus its MX and website IPs; an IPv4 address checks IP blocklists.

  2. 2

    Review listings

Listed means the blocklist has an entry for you. Couldn't check means the list refused the query, which is common for public resolvers.

  3. 3

    Fix the cause before delisting

Stop the sending that caused the listing (a compromised account, a bad list, a spike in volume), then request removal using the list's link.

  4. 4

    Monitor daily

Listings can appear at any time. Monitoring checks every day and alerts you.

Email blacklist (blocklist)
An email blocklist is a public database of IP addresses or domains seen sending spam. Mail servers query blocklists through DNS while accepting mail, and a listing can send your email to spam or get it rejected. More about Email blacklist

FAQ

Blacklist checker questions

Why do some lists say “couldn't check”?

Several blocklists, including Spamhaus, refuse queries that arrive through large public DNS resolvers, which this free browser tool uses. A refusal is not a clean result. Check those lists on their own sites, or use RoxInbox monitoring, which queries them properly.

Does this check my sending IP?

It checks the IPs of your domain's mail servers and website. If you send through another service, enter its sending IP directly; you can find it in the Received headers of an email you sent.

How do I get removed from a blacklist?

Fix the cause first, then use the removal form on the blocklist's site. Most lists delist automatically after a clean period; some require a request. Listings that recur quickly are usually escalated.
