Sender reputation
DefinitionSender reputation is a mailbox provider's internal assessment of how trustworthy a sending domain or IP address is, based on its history, authentication and how recipients react to its email.
Each provider keeps its own reputation for your domain and IPs, and doesn't publish it. You can see parts of it through postmaster dashboards and infer the rest from inbox placement.
Reputation is built by consistent volume, valid authentication and positive engagement, and damaged by spikes, bounces, spam-trap hits and complaints.
